I'm a fully bilingual journalist and editor with 10 years of newsroom experience. I have filed stories from Brazil, Southeast Asia, and the UK, and have managed teams of reporters and editors.

From July 2018 to May 2021, I was the News Editor of Global Voices, an international, multilingual newsroom covering human rights and social movements around the world. My role included managing a team of subeditors, ensuring all content met editorial standards prior to publication, and hands-on editing of stories. From 2017 to 2018, I was Global Voices' Regional Editor for Lusophone countries, and from 2014 to 2017 I was their Brazil Editor.

Before all that, I was a reporter at O Estado de S. Paulo and The Cambodia Daily, two major newspapers in Brazil and Cambodia, respectively.

As a freelancer, I have had stories published on Quartz, Asia LIFE, Oceana, and many more outlets in Brazil. My stories for Global Voices have been regularly republished by other media outlets, such as Slate and PRI.

In a past life, I used to shoot and edit videos.
